Job summary

First Day Homecare - SW Atlanta, GA, is looking for a personal care aide to provide essential care services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist. You will assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, meal preparation, and safe transportation, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have completed a formal certification training program, and possess current CPR certification along with CNA or PCA credentials. Flexible scheduling and paid sick time are offered as part of the benefits.

Job Summary

Provides personal care services under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Therapist. The Aide is assigned to specific clients by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professional who performs services for clients as necessary to maintain their personal comfort and well-being.

Clinical Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation to clients according to the care plan.
• Assist client with general Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, meals, and safe ambulation/transfers.
• Report any changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor as outlined in the care plan.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records for the Agency.
• Work collaboratively with the client’s care team and ensure effective communication.
• Promote client safety by following infection control practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Attend in-service programs to meet compliance and notify supervisors of any educational needs.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a formal certification training program.
• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written care plan.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements and in good repair.
• Current CPR certification.
• CNA or PCA required.
