VNS Health in New York is seeking a Supervisory Home Health Aide to oversee HHA assignments, monitor care delivery, and ensure adherence to policies. This role drives quality service for patients in the home care setting under general supervision.

You will coach and evaluate staff, manage caseload, and implement efficient procedures while supporting the organization’s mission to serve New Yorkers. Growth opportunities and ongoing professional development are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assigns Home Health Aides to deliver requested service to VNS Health patients and members.
• Supervises activities of assigned HHA staff to ensure high-quality service.
• Maintains compliance of HHAs with corporate policies, state regulations, and contractual requirements.
• Initiates corrective action and documentation by coaching, counseling, and terminating HHAs as required, promptly and effectively.
• Encourages communication across HHA staff and management; identifies and resolves issues affecting service delivery.
• Maintains or grows caseload depending on resource availability.
• Develops procedures to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Performs supervisory duties including hiring, promotions, salary actions, and terminations.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

• Assigns Home Health Aides (HHA) to deliver requested service to VNS Health patients and members.
• Ensures the delivery of high-quality service by supervising activities of assigned HHA staff.
• Maintains compliance of HHAs with corporate policies, state regulations, and contractual requirements.
• Initiates appropriate corrective action and documentation by coaching, counseling, and terminating HHAs as required, in a timely effective manner.
• Encourages and develops on-going communication with HHA staff and management across VNS Health; identifies and resolves issues which effect service delivery.
• Maintains or grows caseload depending on resource availability.
• Develops and implements procedures to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness, as necessary.
• Performs all duties inherent in a supervisory role. Ensures effective staff training, interviews candidates for employment, evaluates staff performance and recommends hiring, promotions, salary actions and terminations, as appropriate.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Work Experience

High School Diploma or equivalency Required Bachelor's Degree preferred

Minimum of two years of experience in customer service required

Strong Organization And Administrative Skills Required

Demonstrated problem-solving abilities required

Pay Range

USD $20.98 - USD $26.23 /Hr.
