Position: Home Health Aide

As a Home Health Aide, you will provide care in private homes based on client needs. Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily activities, personal care, and mobility support, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Required Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, geriatrics, or working with the elderly preferred.
• Genuine desire to work with geriatric populations.
• Valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance.
• Training as per state requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care support in private homes within designated regions.
• Drive up to approximately 45-50 miles as needed.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, and hygiene for male and female residents.
• Support residents with dressing, feeding, and mobility, including transfers and ambulation.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and pet care.
• Follow medication protocols and document care activities accurately.
• Monitor and report health and safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain client dignity, privacy, and adhere to Resident Bill of Rights.
• Participate in activity programming and provide activity-based care.
• Complete shift documentation using authorized abbreviations.
• Follow infection control protocols and universal precautions.
• Adapt to schedule changes and assist during emergencies, including weekends and holidays.
• Additional duties as assigned, including assisting with dining and housekeeping.

Work Environment:

This role requires standing for extended periods, effective communication, and the ability to read detailed documents and electronic screens. Travel to various locations is necessary, with moderate noise levels and appropriate interaction with clients and team members.
