Job summary

BrightStar Care of Indianapolis is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to provide in-home support for an individual in a private residence. The role is part-time, roughly 4 to 5 hours per day (20–25 hours weekly), requiring reliability and discretion to maintain independence and quality of life.

The candidate should have CNA/HHA credentials or equivalent experience, CPR/BLS certification, and ability to pass background and drug screens, with a valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required or in progress.
• 2-step TB test or equivalent TB screening.
• Physical exam within last 6 months.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

• Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and general tidying
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with mobility and safety monitoring
• Provide medication reminders
• Accompany client to appointments or errands as needed
• Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or well-being
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of one year of caregiving, home health, CNA, or related experience preferred
• CurrentCPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificationthrough theAmerican Heart Association (AHA)orAmerican Red Cross
• Current2-Step TB Test(or TB screening documentation as required by state regulations)or a recent chest X-ray with clearance documentation

Required Qualifications
