Job summary

Affordable Family Care Services - Raleigh is seeking a Personal Care Aide to help clients with daily living tasks in their homes, supporting independence and dignity. You will assist with hygiene, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and safe transportation, while monitoring client well-being and reporting changes to the care team.

Requirements include reliable transportation, an insured vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background and drug check.

Qualifications

• Access to reliable transportation to and from work.
• Your vehicle must be insured.
• You must have a valid driver’s license.
• You will need a current TB test.
• You must pass a Background & Drug check and be E-Verify employable.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and other daily tasks.
• Perform basic health care services for clients including checking vital signs or administering prescription medication.
• Help with light housekeeping, including cooking meals.
• Make transportation arrangements or provide transportation for clients as needed.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Observe and report on each client’s condition.
• Stay up-to-date with home health aide training, policies and procedures.
