Job summary

The Stratford is seeking a Home Health Aide in Training for an on-site, part-time role in Carmel, Indiana. We provide training and support to deliver compassionate in-home care to seniors, following individualized care plans and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a Certified Home Health Aide program and licensure by the State of Indiana.
• Certification in CPR, AED and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Review and follow the nursing care plan and assignment for each resident daily.
• Respond to all emergency situations, following appropriate policies and procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living: showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, personal hygiene and provide assistance with any supportive equipment.
• Assist and safely transfer residents from bed to chair, as well as assisting with ambulation, as needed.
• Provide a pleasant, quiet and safe (home-like) environment for residents, visitors and staff.

We’re looking for a Home Health Aide (HHA):

As an HHA, you will be responsible for providing care one-on-one for seniors. It is highly dependent on the individual’s special needs. When it comes to caring for the elderly, it’s important to keep in mind that caregiver duties vary and being able to adapt and respond are important. Shift and hours can vary.

TRAVEL: No travel is expected although occasional travel may be required for training sessions, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions.
