Job summary

BrightStar Care of Lake County, Indiana, is hiring Home Health Aides (HHA) for flexible, part-time shifts with weekly pay. You’ll provide one-on-one in-home care, building meaningful relationships while supporting clients in their own homes.

This role offers flexible scheduling, potential for 40+ hours per week, and opportunities for growth. Training is provided, and multiple shifts (days/evenings/weekends) are available. Join a supportive team dedicated to quality care.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience in home health care.
• Active Indiana Home Health Aide Certification.
• CPR certification required or willing to obtain.
• Valid Driver's License and a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and assist with medications reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Transport clients to appointments and errands.
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers.
• Ensure fall prevention and client safety.
• Document care provided and communicate with clients, families and care team.

Indiana Home Health Aides (HHA): Starting at $17.50/hour (based on experience and certification)

Flexible Scheduling

This is a PRN (as-needed) position with the opportunity to regularly work 40+ hours per week based on your availability and client needs.

What You'll Do

As a Caregiver or Home Health Aide, you'll help seniors and adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes by providing:

• Personal care, bathing, dressing, and grooming

Qualifications

Home Health Aide (HHA)

• 1 year or more experience
• Active Indiana Home Health Aide Certification

Additional Requirements

• Current CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Negative TB Test or Chest X-Ray
• Valid Driver's License
• Reliable, insured vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to pass a drug screening
