Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Follow the Care Plan prepared by the Nursing Supervisor to assist clients with:
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment, providing nutritional and environmental support
  • Assisting with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, walking, and feeding
  • Positioning clients as instructed
  • Assisting with treatments and therapies ordered by the physician and approved by the nursing supervisor
  • Reminding clients to take medications
  • Handling payments and errands when authorized and documented
  • Documenting daily activities on the Aide Charting Sheet
  • Reporting changes in the client's condition to the agency or supervisor
  • Using medical supplies and equipment appropriately
  • Providing emotional support and fostering trust
  • Encouraging client independence
  • Maintain professionalism and compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Qualifications & Education:
    • Must be 18 years or older
    • Certification from a recognized Home Health Aide training program, with ongoing education
    • Ability to establish good relationships with clients, families, and staff
    • Genuine interest and empathy for caring for the sick and disabled
    Personal Qualities:
    • Dependable, trustworthy, and reliable
    • Good listener with empathy and sensitivity
    • Neat appearance and good hygiene
    • Maintains good health habits and wears ID badge
    Functional Abilities:
    • Ability to lift, turn, and transfer clients, up to 50 pounds
    • Capable of stooping and bending
    • Sufficient visual and hearing abilities for communication
    • Effective verbal communication skills
    • Ability to provide direct care as per client care plan
    • Perform a variety of tasks under supervision
    Work Environment:

    Exposure to client environments and occasional stress.

    Compensation:

    The hourly rate is approximately $19.10, based on location and other factors such as experience and credentials. This may be adjusted in the future.
