Position Overview

Home Health Aide, CNA, or Personal Care Aide in St Marys

Full Time (30-34 hrs/wk), Monday-Friday, 1st shift

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and respirations.
  • Assist and train patients and families in daily activities like bathing, grooming, and nutrition.
  • Maintain a safe environment and unobstructed pathways during care.
  • Support mobility, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
  • Help with incidental activities like shopping, meal prep, and homemaking.
  • Remind and assist with medication administration.
  • Follow infection control protocols, including PPE and hand hygiene.
  • Perform tasks as per assignment and report changes in patient condition.
  • Document all observations and services accurately and timely.
  • Participate in quality improvement and emergency preparedness programs.
  • Respect patient rights and maintain confidentiality.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Six months of healthcare experience or completion of a recognized aide program.
  • Proof of successful completion of aide training or current certification as per state and federal regulations.
  • Valid references, background checks, and ability to communicate effectively in English.
Physical and Working Conditions
  • Travel within the service area required.
  • Work primarily in patients' homes, with exposure to infectious materials.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and perform physical activities as needed.
