Job Overview

Cedarhurst Senior Living, a regional healthcare provider dedicated to supporting older adults, is seeking a compassionate, career-driven individual to join our team as a Certified Nurse's Assistant (CNA) at our Cedar Creek of Bloomington community.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs such as grooming, hygiene, dressing, and nutrition.
• Respond proactively to signals, bells, or intercom systems to determine residents' needs.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor food and fluid intake/output as directed.
• Transport residents and assist with walking, turning, or repositioning.
• Perform housekeeping duties, including changing linens and running errands.
• Assist residents with meals and encourage participation in activities.
• Observe and report residents' problems or concerns to the care team.
• Promote residents' physical, emotional, and personal wellbeing, aiming to restore independence when possible.
• Follow residents' Advance Directives and communicate effectively with families about residents' care.
• Work collaboratively with team members, take direction, and handle conflicts appropriately.
• Meet physical demands such as standing, moving, and lifting up to 50 pounds independently or up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of an accredited CNA program preferred.
• One year of CNA experience preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency in internet browsers, Microsoft Office, EHR systems, and HR systems.
• Dependability and flexibility to meet scheduling requirements.
• Knowledge of senior care laws and care levels.
