Visiting Angels Tyler is seeking a Home Health Aide - HHA to support seniors in Tyler and East Texas. The role focuses on compassionate, person-centered care and mobility assistance.

You’ll gain opportunities for additional training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care while making a meaningful difference in the community.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years caregiving experience.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Emergency response and first aid knowledge.
• Adherence to health and safety standards.

Responsabilidades

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility around home or outside.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Help with routine exercises and do light housekeeping.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Shop for clients or accompany them shopping.
• Provide companionship and report incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Home Health Aide - HHA Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Home Health Aide - HHA Requirements

• 2 Years Previous Caregiving Experience
• Valid Driver's License (ID Card only is not sufficient)
• Vehicle with current Insurance
• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics
• Physical endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent
