Visiting Angels Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide - HHA to support seniors in the Northern Birmingham area, including Trussville and surrounding communities. You will provide companionship, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, and meal preparation, helping clients maintain independence in their homes.

This role offers training in dementia or Alzheimer's care, flexible shifts (Full Time, Part Time, 8/10/12 hour options, PRN) and the chance to make a real difference in

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and provide compassionate care.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Respectful, punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with mobility and daily activities.
• Assist clients with prescribed medications (as directed).
• Support personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Assist with light housekeeping and transportation.

Home Health Aide - HHA Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
