The home health aide is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.**DUTIES AND RESPSONSIBILITY**Provide personal care including:* Baths* Back rubs* Oral hygiene* Shampoos* Change bed linen* Assist patients with dressing and undressing* Nail & Skin care to prevent breakdown* Assist the patient with toileting activities* Keep patient’s living area clean and orderlyOther duties include:* Plan and prepare nutritious meals.* Assist in feeding the patient* Take and record oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered.* Assist in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care.* Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered.* Assist patient in the self-administration of medication.* Do patient’s laundry* Meet safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)* Report on patient’s condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse**JOB REQUIREMENTS*** Active Home Health Aide Certification through CA Department of Public Health* Maintain a current CPR certification* Home Health experience preferred* Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order**WHY MUIR HOME HEALTH?**Muir Home Health **is part of the Cornerstone Group**with about 75 home health and hospice agencies throughout the country. **While we are part of a large family, we operate as a local team.**We understand we are nothing without great employees!
