Job summary

Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) in the Kansas City, MO area to provide daily living and personal care in patients’ homes under a physician care plan. This is a 1099 contract opportunity.

Shifts are PRN Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with weekend flexibility. Care is provided at the patient’s residence. Background check required. CPR, First Aid, and 2‑Step TB test are required.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• 2‑Step TB test required.
• Experience in clinical or home health care preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and assist patients.

Responsibilities

• Execute physician-prescribed plans of care and document in system.
• Administer prescribed treatments and therapies.
• Perform patient assessments and coordinate care.
• Assist with activities of daily living and monitor vitals at home.
• Provide one-on-one care and communicate with family and doctors.

Giving Home Health Care has been supporting individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy since 2012. With a focus on personalized, in‑home care, we serve patients across Arizona, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.

Job Overview

We are looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) in the Kansas City, MO area to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients’ homes in accordance with a physician established care plan. This is a 1099 contract opportunity. Shifts are PRN Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with flexibility to work weekends. Care is provided at the patient’s residence. Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Execute physician‑prescribed plans of care and complete compliant documentation in the system of record.
• Administer prescribed treatments and therapies.
• Perform patient assessments and coordinate care.
• Assist with various activities associated with daily living, communication, and monitoring of vitals while at the patient’s home.
• Provide one‑on‑one services in a comfortable environment.
• Communicate with family members, doctors, and other designated individuals regarding the patient’s health.
• Perform other personal care services as necessary to meet patient needs.

Requirements

• Current CPR, First Aid, and 2‑Step TB test.
• Prefer experience in a clinical care setting, home health preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to sustain prolonged standing and walking, lift up to 50 lbs., and move patients.
• Requires hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
