Job summary

Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable 1099 home health caregiver to support a male DOL patient at home. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, adaptable, and comfortable with routines and preferences in a private home environment.

Schedule: Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays (12-hour shifts); light housekeeping, companionship, vitals monitoring, and assistance with daily living activities. Prior home health or DOL experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Current CPR, First Aid certification and a 2-Step TB test are required.
  • Prefer experience in a clinical care setting or home health.
  • Prolonged standing and walking; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Executes physician prescribed plans of care and documents care provided.
  • Administers prescribed treatments and therapies.
  • Performs patient assessments and coordinates care.
  • Performs activities of daily living and monitors vitals in the patient's home.
  • One-on-one care in a home setting; communicates with family, doctors and prescribed individuals.

Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and confident 1099 home health caregiver to provide support for a male DOL patient in the home setting. The ideal candidate will be patient-centered, adaptable, and comfortable working with a client who has established routines and specific preferences regarding his care and home environment.

Schedule Needs: Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays Preferred 12-hour shifts No weekend coverage requested at this time

  • Light housekeeping
  • Assistance preparing beverages and daily comfort items
  • Companion care and supervision during outdoor activities
  • Safety standby while patient performs yard work and uses golf cart
  • General support with activities of daily living as appropriate
  • Encourage independence while providing assistance as needed

Preferences:

  • Values independence and prefers to remain actively involved in his daily routines
  • Prefers to manage his own vital signs and organize his own medical equipment
  • Appreciates caregivers who respect his personal systems and home organization preferences
  • Sensitive to loud noises; housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming may require accommodation

Strong preference for maintaining privacy and control over medication management

Ideal Candidate: Reliable, professional, and confident Able-bodied and comfortable assisting with mobility and outdoor activities Strong communication skills and professional boundaries Flexible, patient, and able to adapt to individualized care preferences

Comfortable working in a smoking environment Prior home health, hospice, or DOL experience preferred but not required

Work Environment Considerations: Smoking occurs inside the home Patient has experienced previous health-related challenges that can occasionally impact mood and frustration tolerance Success in this role requires patience, consistency, and the ability to provide supportive care while respecting patient autonomy.

Responsibilities
  • Executes physician prescribed plans of care and compliant documentation of care provided in system of record
  • Administers prescribed treatments, and therapies
  • Performs patient assessments, coordination of care
  • Performs various activities associated with daily living, communications, and monitoring of vitals while working at the patient’s home
  • Will be working with patients in a comfortable environment where the service is one-on-one
  • Communicates with family members, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of patients
  • Performs other personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs
Requirements
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and 2-Step TB Test
  • Prefer experience in a clinical care setting, home health preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Prolonged standing and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients
  • Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
