Job summary

Visiting Angels Amarillo, TX is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to support clients in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes across the Panhandle area including Amarillo and nearby towns.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring vital signs, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication administration, and promoting mental well-being through social activities. Training and HIPAA adherence provided.

Qualifications

Home health or hospice care experience.
Experience with individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques.
Familiarity with patient monitoring and vital sign assessment.
Experience in memory care or Alzheimer's care settings.
HIPAA privacy understanding.

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Monitor vital signs and observe health or behavior changes.

Visiting Angels Amarillo is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide - HHA to provide exceptional support and care to our clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, and dementia. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Our office in Amarillo provides caregivers for the Panhandle area including Amarillo, Claude, Hereford, Dumas, Borger, Fritch, Canyon, Pampa , and many others.

Home Health Aide - HHA Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health or behavior.
Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for transferring clients safely.
Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any concerns or changes in client status.

Home Health Aide - HHA Experience

Home health or hospice care experience.
