Qualifications

Homefront Home Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides (HHA) to provide essential support to individuals who require personal care and assistance in their own homes. As a HHA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for your clients by providing personalized care, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while respecting their dignity, privacy, and personal preferences.
• Medication Reminders: Remind clients to take his/her medication at the appropriate time.
• Mobility Assistance: Provide physical assistance and support to clients with mobility challenges, including transferring, walking, and using mobility aids such as walkers or wheelchairs.
• Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, activities, and hobbies to promote socialization, mental stimulation, and emotional well‑being.
• Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions, preferences, and client requirements, ensuring a balanced and healthy diet.
• Light Housekeeping: Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up living spaces, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, grocery shopping, and other activities as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transportation.
• Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with office staff to provide updates on the client's condition, progress, and any concerns as well as any scheduling issues or emergencies.
• Record-Keeping & Electronic Visit Verification: Document and maintain accurate records of client care, including daily activities, assigned tasks, any client requests, and any significant observations or changes in the client’s condition.
• Safety and Emergency Preparedness: Recognize and respond to emergency situations promptly, following established protocols to ensure the safety and well‑being of clients.
• Respect and Professionalism: Demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions with clients, their families, office staff, and other healthcare professionals. Show up to scheduled shifts on time and with a positive attitude.

Pay

Starts at $17.00

Schedule

• Saturday - Sunday (9am - 2pm/ 7pm - 10pm)

Requirements

• Must hold a current Home Health Aide (HHA) license in Indiana and be in good standing.
• Previous experience as a Home Health Aide in a related healthcare field is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
