First in Care Home Health Agency, Inc. is hiring Full-time Home Health Aide (HHA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Palmetto, FL. Recruiters are hiring immediately for 12-hour shifts, overnights, weekdays and weekends.

Pay includes competitive wages with weekly rises, shift differentials, overtime, and direct deposit. Responsibilities include monitoring patient condition, providing personal care, assisting with daily living activities, and educating families on mobility and nutrition.

Qualifications

Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Current driver’s license or State ID is required.
Social Security Card or valid green card provided.
CPR certification required.
TB test within last year and annual re-testing.
Health statement/physical within six months of application.
Level II Background Screening as per Florida requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent must be presented.
Reliable transportation to client locations.
Minimum age 18 with two work and one personal reference.
Availability to work every other weekend.
Must pass Home Health Aide Competency Test.

Responsibilities

Monitor patient condition by observing physical and mental status, intake/output and activity.
Provide housekeeping, meal prep, shopping for supplies, and errands as needed.
Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming and personal care.
Educate family on mobility aids, lifting techniques, and nutrition.
Record patient information and notify supervisor of changes.
Maintain a safe environment following asepsis and safety standards.
Participate in educational opportunities provided by First In Care.
Adhere to agency policies and regulatory requirements.
Respond to new requests and seek value-added care opportunities.
