Job summary

Right at Home in Edmond, OK is seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) dedicated to helping seniors and adults with disabilities at home. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, daily living assistance and building meaningful relationships with clients.

You will be trained with PPE, safety protocols, and supportive coaching from a local office. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA).
• State-approved Nurse Aide or HHA course completed.
• Competency Evaluation per state licensing requirements.
• Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick.
• Current CPR certification is recommended.
• Read/write/speak/understand English as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle for work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, bathing, dressing, mobility).
• Provide meal preparation and basic housekeeping within patient home.
• Support prescribed range of motion exercises and use of assistive devices.
• Assist with ostomy care, dressing changes, and vitals when required.
• Follow nurse instructions and maintain patient safety and comfort.
• Document client status and communicate with supervising nurse.
