Job summary

Elara Caring is hiring a Personal Care Aide (PCA) to support clients at home, delivering bathing, grooming, mobility assistance, meal prep, and companionship. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and person-centered care in a home health setting.

Training is provided, and opportunities for career growth are highlighted. Eligible candidates should hold HHA or CNA certification in Massachusetts and a high school diploma or GED, with good communication skills and reliable transportation to travel

Qualifications

• HHA certification and/or valid CNA Certification required from the State of Massachusetts (MA).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience providing care to elderly or disabled individuals preferred (professional or personal).
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable personal transportation to travel to client homes.
• Ability to lift, stand, bend, and assist clients as needed (up to 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene assistance.
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and daily living activities.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform housekeeping, laundry, and household tasks.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to improve quality of life.
• Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments (when applicable).
• Promote a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for each client.
