Job summary

Ambercare in New Mexico is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home care to seniors and individuals with disabilities. This entry-level role offers flexible, part-time hours, comprehensive training, and the chance to learn the fundamentals of quality home care while delivering life-changing service.

Starting pay is $18 per hour with potential benefits for part-time aides, and options such as daily pay for select positions.

Qualifications

• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant training and 1 year minimum experience.
• Satisfactory background check and valid driver's license.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to compassionately care for others.
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well-organized.

Responsibilities

• Remind clients to take medication at the appropriate time.
• Assist clients with therapy exercises under a Registered Therapist.
• Assist or perform personal care including hair care, oral hygiene, bathing, grooming and dressing.
• Assist with routine bodily functions.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment through light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and accompany clients to appointments.
• Observe and report changes in client’s condition to supervisor.
• Turn or reposition patients who are bedridden.
• Examine patient for bruises, blood in urine or other injuries/wounds.
