Responsibilities
- Obtain temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
- Assist patients with getting in and out of bed, bathing, hygiene, and toileting.
- Prepare and assist with meals.
- Perform light homemaking and environmental services.
- Observe, report, and document any changes in patient status.
- Understand basic body functions and report changes as indicated.
- Recognize emergency situations and implement appropriate procedures.
- Follow infection prevention, hazardous waste handling, and safety measures.
- Follow written instructions for personal care per care plan.
- Assist with prescribed exercises as instructed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current state certification/registration as a nurse assistant.
- CNA experience within the last two years; otherwise, complete training and competency program.
- Current CPR certification.
