Job summary

Parx Home Care is seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team, delivering personalized in-home care to clients. You will assist with daily activities, support medications, and help maintain a clean, safe home environment with compassionate communication.

Requirements include a state-approved HHA training, active HHA certification, at least 1 year of HHA experience, and a clean background. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are also needed.

• Minimum 1 year of Home Health Aide experience.
• Excellent communication and empathy with clients and families.
• Ability to safely lift/move clients.

Responsibilities

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist individuals with their daily needs, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Remind individuals to take their medication and offer help with administering it.
• Keep track of vital signs and promptly communicate any changes to the healthcare team.
• Take care of light household tasks to ensure a clean and safe living environment.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals that meet specific dietary requirements.
• Engage in meaningful and compassionate conversations with clients.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to clients and their families.

Requirements

What we're looking for in you:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved training program for Home Health Aides
• A valid certification as a Home Health Aide
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Home Health Aide
• Excellent communication and empathy skills with clients and their families
• Ability to safely lift and move clients using proper body mechanics
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Successfully pass a background check and drug screening

This position requires background screening through Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
