Job summary

Parx Home Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to join our team in Florida. You will provide personalized care to clients in their homes, assisting with daily activities, meals, medication reminders, and companionship.

A valid HHA certification and 1+ year of experience are required. You will work with a healthcare team, monitor vital signs, and ensure a safe living environment while maintaining dignity and independence for clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State-approved training program for Home Health Aides.
• Valid Home Health Aide certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Home Health Aide.
• Excellent communication and empathy with clients and their families.
• Ability to safely lift and move clients using proper body mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse background screening in Florida.

• Take care of light household tasks to ensure a clean and safe living environment.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals that meet specific dietary requirements.
• Engage in meaningful and compassionate conversations with clients.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to clients and their families.

Requirements

What we're looking for in you:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved training program for Home Health Aides
• A valid certification as a Home Health Aide
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Home Health Aide
• Excellent communication and empathy skills with clients and their families
• Ability to safely lift and move clients using proper body mechanics

• Successfully pass a background check and drug screening

This position requires background screening through Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
