Job summary

TLC HomeCare is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to provide one-on-one in-home care according to an individualized plan. You will support clients with daily living activities, safety, dignity, and comfort while building meaningful relationships.

The ideal candidate has HHA training, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills. Prior home health or hospice experience is a plus, and CPR certification is required. Competitive salary and flexible schedule offered.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional caregiving experience preferred.
  • Previous Home Health, Hospice, senior care, or private-duty experience is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow an individualized care plan.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, respectful, and client-centered care.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to client locations.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility and transfers.
  • Assist clients with moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, and automobiles as appropriate.
  • Provide assistance with personal care while maintaining the client's dignity, privacy, and comfort.
  • Change bed linens, perform laundry, and assist with maintaining a clean and safe home environment.
  • Prepare meals and provide assistance with daily household activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care, condition, progress, and any concerns.
  • Report changes in the client's condition or other concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Provide companionship by engaging clients in conversations, reading, and other appropriate activities.
  • Encourage clients to participate in exercises, hobbies, and activities as appropriate to their care plan.
  • Follow the client's individualized care plan and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional and respectful communication with clients, families, supervisors, and members of the care team.
  • Protect client privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Job Summary
