Job summary

Agape Care LLC is looking for a Home Health Aide to support clients in their homes in Ohio. You will assist with personal care, meal preparation, mobility, and daily activities, while documenting health observations and following care plans.

You will work with a team to ensure safety, effective communication with families, and high-quality, compassionate care. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience or training as a home health aide is required.
• CPR and basic first aid certification is essential.
• Excellent observational skills to monitor patient health.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Provide and monitor nutritious meals per dietary needs.
• Document patient observations and report changes to healthcare professionals.
• Assist with mobility/transfers, using proper lifting techniques and safety.
• Engage clients in activities promoting physical and emotional well-being.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe living space.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Follow care plans and participate in team meetings.

SCHEDULE:

Tuesday 9AM-2PM

Thursday 9AM-2PM

Friday 9AM-1PM

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide meal preparation and ensure clients receive nutritious meals according to dietary requirements.
• Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary, while adhering to safety protocols.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote physical and emotional well-being.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment for clients.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall quality of life for clients.
• Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals and participate in team meetings as required.

Skills:

• Experience or training in home health aide is required.
• Knowledge of long-term care systems and practices is advantageous.
• Proficiency in CPR and basic first aid techniques is essential.
• Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions effectively.
• Ability to lift patients safely using proper techniques and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others improve their quality of life through dedicated care.
