Job summary

BrightStar Care of West Bend is seeking compassionate home health aides to provide hygiene care, meal preparation, and mobility support in clients' homes across the service area. You will help with bathing, grooming, feeding, and essential activities while upholding dignity and safety.

Qualifications

  • Over 18 years of age.
  • Licensed driver with reliable transportation.
  • Auto insurance in accordance with the organization's requirements if transporting clients.
  • Minimum one (1) year of documented experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively.
  • Treats clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image.
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision after initial training.
  • Empathy for the needs of the client.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull; able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide client with hygiene care as directed including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, medication reminder.
  • Prepare and administer meals in accordance to clients diet.
  • Assist client in active and passive range of motion defined by the plan of care, document observed changes, report any changes to the Director of Nursing.
  • Assist client in walking and transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, shopping.
  • Develop and promote a safe environment for quality client care through adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure clients rights are adhered to.

Tuesday

  • - 8:00am-9:30am (Richfield)

Wednesday

  • - 8pm-9pm (Germantown)
  • - 2pm-6pm (West Bend)
  • - 6:45pm-9:15pm (West Bend)

Thursday

  • - 8:00am-9:30am (Richfield)

Saturday

  • - E/o 10am-1pm – Port Washington
  • - 4:00pm-6:00pm (Jackson)
  • - E/o 7pm-10pm– Port Washington

Sunday

  • - E/o 10am-1pm – Port Washington
  • - 4:00pm-7:00am (Jackson)
  • - E/o 7pm-10pm– Port Washington

  • Availability to work weekends is a plus (weekend incentive offered)
  • Ensures confidentiality and security of the clients medical information (HIPAA)
  • Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
