Role Description

The Home Health Aide is a full-time, on-site role based in Richmond, VA. The Home Health Aide will assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support. Responsibilities include providing personal care, monitoring and reporting changes in client condition, and offering companionship to promote emotional well-being. The role also involves helping with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe home environment. The Home Health Aide will follow individualized care plans, collaborate with families and supervisors, and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide compassionate Home Care and supportive Patient Care in a residential setting.
• Experience assisting with Activities of Daily Living, including mobility support and routine tasks.
• Strong Personal Care skills, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance.
• Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and care team members.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of approved Home Health Aide or CNA training preferred.
• Previous experience in home health, long-term care, or similar caregiving environment is beneficial.
• Ability to follow care plans, maintain documentation, and adhere to safety and infection control standards.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, and ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
