Job summary

Sevita provides in-home care services through MENTOR Adult Day Health in Quincy. We are seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA) to support clients with complex medical or rehabilitative needs in their own homes, promoting independence and quality of life.

Flexible hours and mileage reimbursement are offered. Applicants must have a valid HHA/CNA certificate, a valid driver’s license, and access to a reliable vehicle to join our caring team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old.
• HHA or CNA certification.
• Previous caregiving experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
• Comfortable using mobile devices for documentation.
• Must pass a background check prior to hire.
• Must complete a physical exam and TB skin test.
• Compassionate, reliable, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and personal care.
• Support light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Run errands or assist with grocery shopping as needed.
• Monitor health conditions and document services provided.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive home environment.

Job description

MENTOR Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve.

Important Requirements

• Valid and current HHA/CNA Certificate
• Full, valid Driver’s License held for at least 12 months (permits and intermediate licenses do not count)
• Reliable personal vehicle for traveling to individuals’ homes
