Job summary

Pipestone County Medical Center is seeking a Home Health Aide to support our nursing team in Pipestone, MN. This role assists with personal care and light homemaking, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Required CNA credential or active registry with Minnesota and TMA within 6 months; a valid driver’s license and BLS certification (or within a week of hire) are needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 months experience in home health preferred.
• Must be CNA and obtain TMA within 6 months.
• Must remain active on the Minnesota CNA Registry.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
• BLS certification or obtain within 1 week of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN in providing patient care.
• Assist with personal care and some homemaking.
• Document care provided and report changes.

Position Highlights

SUMMARY: The Home Health Aide assists the Registered Nurse in providing care to patients by assisting with personal care and some homemaking.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no specific supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

• Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. One to three months experience in home health preferred.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must complete and maintain certification and training requirements as established by the Minnesota Department of Health for Home Health Aides which includes remaining active on the Minnesota Certified Nursing Assistant Registry. Must be a CNA, but then within 6 months must obtain their TMA. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required. BLS certified or must be obtained within 1 week of hire.

Salary

The pay range for this position is $20.40 - $31.62. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
