Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide for a full-time day shift in Lafayette, LA. You will provide compassionate care, assist with ADLs, and support staff onboarding in a resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• State-approved Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide training and competency evaluation.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Customer service focus and ability to uphold residents' rights, dignity, privacy, and self-determination.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, transferring and feeding.
• Provide care with tact, cheerfulness, and a positive attitude toward residents and families.
• Support onboarding of new teammates and be a positive team member.
• Respect residents' rights and confidentiality while promoting independence and well-being.

• Provides care in a manner that protects and promotes residents rights, dignity, privacy, confidentially, self-determination, and active participation.
• Assists in activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, transferring, and feeding of assigned residents.
• Ability to display tactful, cheerful, and enthusiastic disposition with all residents and family members.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a state approved Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide training and competency evaluation program or a CNA or HHA competency evaluation program approved by the state.
• Customer Service focus andthe ability to demonstrate the core values listed above is a must!
• Certified in CPR and First Aide Certification or willing to obtain upon hire.
