Job summary

hce-careers seeks Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) for one-to-one patient care in Hoboken. Flexible shifts, clinical support, and opportunities for advancement await you.

As an HHA, you will assist with ADLs, maintain infection control, monitor symptoms, and document care in our digital charting system, with nurse mentorship and paid CEUs to grow your skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide program (HHA certified).
• Minimum 1 year of paid home-health or hospice experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reach clients’ homes.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
• Clear, confident communication and a passion for relationship-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Hands-On ADL Support – Safely assist transfers, bathing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, protecting dignity.
• Home Environment & Infection Control – Change linens, do light laundry, and maintain a hazard-free, sanitized space.
• Medication & Symptom Monitoring – Provide reminders, observe changes, and document vitals or red-flag signs for supervising nurse.
• Therapeutic Engagement – Read aloud, reminisce, guide ROM exercises, or accompany short walks to boost wellness.
• Accurate Documentation – Record care notes, progress, and concerns in our digital charting system before each shift ends.
