Job summary

Sentara Home Care in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a part-time Home Health Aide for day shifts with 24 scheduled weekly hours. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between patient visits within a 50-mile radius of the base office.

Responsibilities include basic patient care such as personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation, along with assisting with transfers and ambulation at home. CNA or nurse aide certificate and BLS within 90 days are required.

Job description

Sentara Home Care is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Home Health Aide.

Position Status: Part Time, Day Shift, 24 scheduled weekly hours, schedule is flexible

Position Location: Elizabeth City, NC. We service a 50-mile radius of our home base office; lengthy drive times are required. Mileage reimbursement is paid for all miles driven between patient visits.

Pay Range: $15.75- $20.45

Overview

Home Health Aides will perform basic and routine patient care, such as personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and feeding, intake/output, ambulation, and assisting patients with transfer from/to bed, toilet and other areas of the home.

Education

• No specific education requirements

Certification/Licensure

• CNA OR nurse aide/nurse assistant certificate (one of these is required)
• BLS (Required within 90 days)

Experience

• Basic and routine patient care
• Personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and feeding
