Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Home Health Aide (HHA)

Location: Palm Beach County, North Palm Beach, Wellington, Boynton Beach, Lake Worth, Delray Beach. (Florida)

Company: Elder Alternatives + All About You Home Health

Schedule: Must be able to work every other weekend

Languages: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Kosher Knowledge: Basic understanding of kosher practices preferred

Transportation: Must drive and have valid auto insurance

Position Summary:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated CNA/HHA professionals to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality personal care and support to patients in their homes, encouraging independence and promoting overall well-being.

Primary Responsibilities:

Personal Care & Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming (hair care, shaving, oral care)
• Provide perineal care and skin care (including lotion application)
• Assist with mobility (transfers, ambulation using walker, cane, wheelchair, or Hoyer lift)
• Support with toileting needs (emptying commodes, urinals, and catheter bags)
• Apply/remove TED hose
• Record intake/output, bowel movements, and perform light exercises as directed
• Perform catheter and colostomy care (non-sterile)

Vital Signs & Medication Assistance:

• Measure and record temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and weight
• Offer medication reminders
• Assist with self-administration of medication (e.g., opening containers, steadying hands)

Home Management & Support:

• Light housekeeping: make beds, do laundry (patient’s only), wash dishes, tidy kitchen and living areas, empty trash, clean bathroom
• Meal preparation (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and assist with eating
• Encourage hydration and proper nutrition

Professional Conduct:

• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment
• Observe and document changes in patient condition
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members

Prohibited Duties:

• Irrigating wounds, colostomies, or body cavities
• Providing enteral (tube) feeding
• Caring for tracheostomy tubes
• Applying heat by any method

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid CNA or HHA Certification (FLORIDA)
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Social Security Card or Passport
• Resident Alien Card (if applicable)
• Current CPR Certification
• Professional Liability Insurance
• Physical exam with TB test (within the last 6 months)
• Background check (AHCA Level 2)
