Qualifications

  • Experience in home health care or long-term care with knowledge of medical procedures and documentation practices.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology along with CPR certification to respond effectively in emergencies.

  • Support patients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory care, hospice care, catheter care, and developmental disabilities.

  • Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare teams regarding changes in condition or care plans.
  • Utilize medical terminology confidently when recording observations or communicating with medical professionals to ensure clarity and accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts.

  • Support patients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory care, hospice care, catheter care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities.

  • Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment that meets health standards.
