Home Health Aid Personal Care Aide Live In or Hourly

Our company is looking to hire compassionate, dependable, respectful, and patient HHAs to work live-in cases on Long Island. Responsibilities include preparing light meals, light housekeeping, supervising seniors to ensure safety, and assisting with daily living tasks to help seniors remain in their homes. Candidates must be reliable, caring, and experienced.

Responsibilities and Candidate Qualities:

Training will teach you everything needed to succeed. However, ideal candidates should be honest, energetic, approachable, and able to communicate effectively at all levels. You should take pride in your work, handle pressure well, and enjoy challenges.

Tasks may include assisting with eating, personal hygiene, light housekeeping, laundry, and other household chores. You should be able to prepare meals and navigate a kitchen comfortably. Assistance may also involve medication reminders, range of motion exercises, dementia care, and companionship activities such as reading, music, and puzzles.

Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Reliable communication methods
  • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a full employment background check
Preferred Qualifications:
  • HHA, CNA, or PCA license
  • 6 months of healthcare experience as a Personal Care Assistant
  • 1-3 years of caregiving experience in homes or facilities
