Job summary

Opportunity Council in Whatcom County is seeking a Home Energy Advisor to perform comprehensive home energy audits and guide homeowners through energy improvements, financing options, and rebates.

You will liaison between homeowners and the CEC during projects, help inspect work, and ensure weatherization standards while maintaining project schedules and budgets.

This full-time on-site role requires knowledge of energy efficiency, strong customer service, and a commitment to community equity.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or energy conservation.
• Experience in one-on-one instruction or customer service.
• Experience in creating project budgets and reviewing financing options.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license and five-year driving history.

Responsibilities

• Lead dissemination within the Community Energy Challenge.
• Perform comprehensive home energy audits, including blower door testing.
• Develop scope of work and financing options for projects; solicit bids and monitor progress.
• Coordinate inspections and close completed project files.
• Manage project costs and ensure compliance with funding rules.
• Respond to calls or complaints regarding projects.
