Job summary

TAIT & Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Petroleum Service Technician to test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair underground and aboveground storage tank systems (USTs/ASTs). You’ll service fuel system equipment at gas stations, marinas, airports, and other facilities while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Independent field work and established petroleum knowledge are required. Initial training will occur in Richardson, TX with 25–50% overnight travel; after training, 50–75% travel may

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years hands-on petroleum equipment service experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing UST/AST equipment.
• Current ICC UST/AST certification(s).
• Current Veeder-Root installation/service certification.
• Working knowledge of petroleum equipment and regulatory testing.
• Experience completing service reports and documentation.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Complete required training, including 40-hour HAZWOPER.
• Perform compliance tests (spill bucket, vapor recovery, A/B inspections).
• Troubleshoot and repair UST/AST equipment.
• Submit reports and timecards using our digital system.
• Communicate with clients and represent TAIT professionally.
