Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a delivery/warehouse associate to load and unload trucks, deliver merchandise to customers, and maintain a clean, orderly warehouse and store environment. You will handle deliveries, obtain signatures, and assist with setup at customer locations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, six months of warehouse experience, a valid driver’s license, and DOT compliance. This role emphasizes safety and dependable execution in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver's License and have familiarity with the delivery area.
• Must meet DOT requirements (e.g., Medical Examiner's Certification and Driver’s DOT qualification file).

Responsibilities

• Drives truck in assigned zone to deliver products purchased by customer and assists with directing trucks into unloading areas.
• Loads truck in preparation for daily deliveries; unloads merchandise at customer location and sets up as necessary.
• Obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
• Records deliveries on delivery record and submits to management.
• Monitors vehicle safety and maintenance; records fuel usage and submits to management.
• Unloads merchandise from warehouse and freight trucks; maintains cleanliness.
• Places stock on shelves or displays and assembles merchandise as required.
• Assists with repossessions of goods and other duties as assigned.
• Performs other related duties and supports store departments.
