This non-exempt role requires passion for horticulture and seasonal décor, excellent communication, multitasking ability, and willingness to work across departments inside and outside, year-round, to drive the store's Mission, Vision and Values.

Qualifications

• Passion for horticulture, yard/home décor, and seasonal merchandise.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Multitask, prioritize, and work independently or in a team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly to make them feel welcomed within the retail location.
• Develop and maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers and co-workers.
• Assist customers, determine their needs and educate them to choose the right selections.
• Assist the management team with merchandising and operational procedures.
• Follow management direction in completing other duties as required.
• Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, quality and presentation.
• Ensure signage is current and displayed properly.
• Stock and rotate products according to the company’s direction.
• Cross-train across multiple departments.
• Operate the POS quickly and accurately, process payments and bag merchandise.
• Conceptualize floral decorations and home décor displays.
• Clean fixtures, shelves, backrooms, bathrooms, and floors as directed.
• Participate in learning and development activities.
