Empire Distributors Inc. in Austell/Atlanta is hiring a Route Delivery Driver who goes home nightly and does not require a CDL. The position offers a starting salary of $54,000 per year plus a $1,500 bonus potential and solid benefits.

You will deliver beer, wine, liquor and point‑of‑sale items to customers, coordinate routes, handle payments, and perform vehicle safety checks as part of a safety‑minded team with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1-3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and plans delivery routes and delivers products to service our customers.
• Drives truck to deliver such items as beer, wine, liquor, and point of sale items to customer's place of business.
• Collects returnable items and empty containers from businesses and transports containers back to the distribution center for consolidation and shipment back to suppliers.
• Inspects loads and ensures proper packing and security is in place in order to reduce product breakage and vehicle damage.
• Conducts an inventory of truck contents. Retrieves overages and accounts for shortages.
• Reviews content of the truck to ensure vehicle is loaded correctly.
• Checks the distribution of the weight and product on the vehicle to ensure it is safe and stable.
• Collects and coordinates payments from customers and records transactions on customer receipt.
• Records delivery information using provided delivery record.
• Listens to and resolves service complaints.
• Resolves issues when possible.
• Coordinates customer comments and service issues with transportation management for proper resolution.
• Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
• Provides preventative maintenance and safety checks on their vehicle by conducting DOT regulated pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Proficient in the use of telematics devices; to include but not limited to delivery routes and driver logs.
• Other duties as assigned by the Transportation Management.
