Job summary

Patriot Disposal / Apple Valley Waste is seeking a CDL Rear-load Driver in Mount Airy, MD. The position emphasizes safe vehicle operation, route execution, and teamwork to keep residential routes running smoothly.

You will back up, load waste with helpers, and provide courteous service while upholding safety standards. Full-time, local daily work with opportunities for advancement and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Valid DOT medical certification.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• 1+ year CDL experience (preferred).
• Experience in residential or manual collection environments (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle safely with strong control including backing and maneuvering.
• Follow DOT, OSHA and company safety policies; conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Complete routes safely, on time, and according to route sheets.
• Coordinate with helpers to load waste and ensure safe back-up procedures.
• Provide courteous service to residential customers and maintain site cleanliness.
• Maintain documentation including route sheets and dispatch communication.
