Job summary

Core-Mark is hiring a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to operating company yards and return with full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will drive tandem, tractor, or straight trucks along intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring safety and DOT compliance while communicating with customers and coworkers.

The role includes a 2P–11P shift (Sunday–Thursday), a $5k sign-on paid over 9 months, and an annual first-year target of $65,000–$75,000.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 6–12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for the past 3 years.
• Work 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday nights (schedules vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to hand-lift and use equipment to move freight weighing 60–90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre/post trip safety inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Inspects equipment and reports any safety issues.
• Adheres to DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; reports hazards.
• Checks trailer load security and documentation.
• Delivers trailers according to route schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures and parks tractors in designated areas.
• Ensures equipment and freight are secured.
• Handles damaged goods and returns paperwork.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs and keeps area clean.
