Job summary

Ross Express in Auburn, ME is seeking a CDL-A Line Haul Driver to transport freight between Ross Express terminals during overnight hours. You will be home daily, as well as on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include safe operation of commercial vehicles, safe and efficient freight transport between terminals, and maintaining required records for DOT compliance. A DOT physical, drug screen, and background checks are required; hazmat endorsement is preferred but not mandatory, with

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year of commercial vehicle driving experience is required.
• Clean Driving Record: no suspensions or major violations in specified windows.
• Physical Examination: must pass a DOT physical.
• Pre-Employment Drug Screen: must be negative.
• Previous Employer C&S & Alcohol check: negative result required over past 3 years.
• Work History Check: consent to 10-year check with explanations for gaps.
• Tanker/Hazmat Endorsement: preferred but not mandatory; must obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Record keeping and compliance with state and federal regulations (logs, inspections).
