Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. in the Detroit area is seeking dedicated CDL-A drivers for home-daily routes. Operate a Class A tractor-trailer, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and maintain logs while meeting DOT safety standards.

We offer home daily schedules, 60-70 hours weekly, around $1,600 per week, and benefits after 90 days, including health, dental, and vision, plus PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last year.
• Clean driving record with a strong safety history.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Secure and handle freight as required.
• Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers.
• Report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits.
