Job summary

Menards is seeking a dedicated CDL A truck driver to operate between the Distribution Center and stores within a ~300-mile radius. You will haul dry vans/flatbeds, perform pre/post trip checks, and ensure on-time deliveries with backhaul returns.

In addition to competitive pay, the role includes benefits typical of a transportation position and opportunities for premium pay on 2nd shift and weekends. A strong safety record is essential.

Qualifications

• Proof of valid driver’s license and Class A CDL.
• Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner’s Certificate).
• Excellent driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tractor-trailer, drop and hook, no-touch freight to stores and return to the Distribution Center with backhaul trailer.
• Maintain DOT compliance including pre- and post-trip equipment checks and logging.
• Provide outstanding service to Distribution Center and stores with professionalism.
• Maintain a consistent schedule and positive teamwork with fellow drivers.

This position is responsible for delivery of dedicated freight, on dry vans and flatbeds, from Menards Distribution Center to Menards stores within a 300-mile radius, and returning to the Distribution Center.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver tractor-trailer, drop and hook, no touch freight to stores and return to the Distribution Center with backhaul trailer
• Maintain DOT compliance including pre- and post-trip equipment checks, compliance with logging requirements and informing Transportation team of any issues with equipment
• Provide outstanding service to our Distribution Center and stores while maintaining a consistently high level of professionalism
• Possess ability to maintain a consistent schedule and work positively with fellow drivers

Position Requirements

• Class A CDL
• Proof of valid driver’s license
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card)
• Excellent driving record
