Responsibilities

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions to enable individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notify immediately of any incidents or accidents.
  • Drive safely, comply with traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during business travel.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, transfers, and use of bedpans or toilets.
  • Help with household tasks essential to the client's personal care.
Education and Experience

Experience Desired:

  • Six months of home care experience preferred
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license

  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet patient needs

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Good communication, organizational, and writing skills
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality

State-Specific Requirements
  • Category I and II - Home Health Aide: Must be listed on the WI Home Health Aide registry
  • Category III and IV: Must have 40 hours of training or six months of equivalent experience in WI
