Job summary

Altra Homecare of North Indy is seeking compassionate CNAs, HHAs and PCAs to provide personal care at clients' homes across Indiana. You'll promote dignity, safety, and independence, with paid training if not certified, and weekly pay.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, meal prep, medication reminders, maintaining records, and ensuring patient safety, all within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided.
• Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws (training provided).
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Preferred: current CPR certification.
• Preferred: current tuberculosis (TB) test.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient laundry when necessary.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Ensure patient safety.
• Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor.
• Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required.
• Monitor and record patient temperature.
• Assist patients with ambulation.
• Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols.
• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines.
• Offer bathing assistance.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading.
