Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, through Almost Family, is seeking a Homemaker/Companion to help clients stay independent at home in Wisconsin. You will provide companionship, assist with light homemaking tasks, and support daily living in a home setting.

The role emphasizes flexibility in hours, strong communication, and commitment to high-quality care, with pay ranging hourly and benefits available through the company. Experience in home care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• WI: Must have 40 hours training or 6 months of equivalent experience.
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of experience in home care.
• Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship through reading, talking, listening, and related activities.
• Perform errands, transport clients, when necessary, within State guidelines.
• Report unusual incidents or changes in client's behavior or home situation to Agency Director.
• Perform homemaking services such as cleaning, light meal preparation, laundry, and other light cleaning duties.

As a Homemaker/Companion, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals by providing support and assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks. Your care and dedication will help them maintain their independence and stay comfortably in their own homes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship through reading, talking, listening, and related activities
• Perform errands, transport clients, when necessary, within State guidelines
• Report unusual incidents or changes in client's behavior or home situation to Agency Director
• Perform homemaking services such as cleaning, light meal preparation, laundry, and other light cleaning duties

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $14.00 to $20.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
