Job summary

Next Youth Job is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide home support in Thornhill. This is a permanent, full-time role with morning, evening, and day shifts, requiring in-person work at clients' homes.

The position involves assisting with bedside care, bathing, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship for clients with various disabilities. Optional live-in accommodation may be available, and transportation is provided by the employer.

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 to less than 7 months of experience

Responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Assist clients in water (i.e. pool)
• Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
• Feed or assist in feeding
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Provide companionship
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
